The retail Broker Manager is regionally based, directly reports to the Broker Management Director, and works closely with the Regional Sales Vice-President to ensure that the broker network is focused on the retail priorities and objectives for the region.

/Responsibilities and tasks are written as follows:/

40% Objective Management
Working closely with the Regional Vice President and team to align on the key priorities and objectives for their respective region.
Develop broker plan to address the retail priorities and objectives by market and customer.
Interface with internal departments to understand initiatives and information to share with broker partners (i.e. Marketing programs, Trade, Customer Service, etc.).
Develop process to communicate priorities, product information and marketing on regular basis to broker partners.
Develop and implement retail processes and tools with Smithfield Farmland team and respective brokers to ensure consistency.

30% Retail Team Support
Ensure that broker's retail team is held accountable for delivering retail conditions in the following areas:
o New Item distribution.
o Distribution - Top 20 items for the region.
o Shelf presence - condition at shelf and share of shelf.
o Merchandising - display support for feature activity.
o Train broker's retail team on product knowledge, customer opportunities and selling opportunities.

Attend brokers' quarterly retail meetings.

Leverage current product information.

Develop tools for in store use.

Provide expectations on in store conditions by product group.
20% Data Analysis
Analyze and leverage data to understand and address opportunities versus objectives.
Share with broker team on regular basis (Data sources: IRI, volume, customer warehouse and broker data).

10% Market Assessments
Lead and conduct market assessments and in-field contacts - monthly and quarterly.

Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years related experience and/or training in sales, business development and/or broker management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Retail level and fields level sales experience preferred.
Sales, spreadsheet, and word processing software experience preferred.
Ability to analyze, organize and present data.
Strong decision making skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to travel 35% of the time.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
