Sales Support/RetailLink Analyst Business / Retail Link Analyst The retail analyst performs various functions which primary involves providing analysis and supporting recommendations for business supporting both internal and Walmart reporting and initiatives.
The key tasks, duties, and responsibilities that make up the retail analyst job description are listed below:
Supports the development of annual sales plans based on Walmart category trends and overall portfolio performance in partnership.
Collects, analyzes, and interprets Walmart Retail Link POS trends and offers actionable insights and observations.
As requested, supports and participates in the development and presentation of all departmental line reviews and request for quote opportunities.
Supports the development of fact-based sales initiatives.
Assists and manages ad-hoc reporting and special projects.
Participates in team selling and new product development processes as a data/consumer insights analyst/expert.
Supports forecasting and demand management analysis.
Identify solutions to improve all facets of the business including PO process, in stocks, inventory control, store productivity, new item expansion, promotional event performance and other category best practices.
Oversee/support US retail PO-logistics process.
Retail Analyst Requirements - Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Three to five years of experience in retail analysis with demonstrated knowledge of Walmart's RetailLink.
Computer skills:
Must be proficient with Excel, including use of pivot tables, financial functions, data analysis, auditing and additional functions; advanced formatting and analysis tools.
They must also possess a working knowledge of Windows and related software applications, including word processing, graphics, e-mail, fax ability, and database management Communication skills:
Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Organizational skills:
Must be highly organized with the ability to handle several projects simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and exhibit good technical and problem-solving techniques.
Familiarity with SPS and EDI PO process a plus.
