We are seeking a Specialist who will provide Berkshire with an indispensable partner in the Seasonal Throw/Bed Blanket/Electric Blanket categories.
This exciting new position will require someone who has a keen understanding of our market space, and how to turn that understanding into a dynamic business advantage utilizing a variety of skills, abilities, and experiences.

Skills that Will Enable You to Succeed:
Gathering Data:
Utilizing internal and external high-leverage data sources (Walmart In-Store, Nielsen, IRI, etc) in order to create the basis for world-class analysis.
Identifying sources of information leading to enriched understanding of market trends.
Act as a data clearinghouse to vet data viability and usefulness for making decisions.
Thinking Clearly and Critically:
Analytically process information across a variety of sources Develop sound data-based outcomes Assist others in drawing unbiased conclusions Identifying & Solving Inefficiencies:
Review current processes to determine effectiveness and viability Assess root cause issues that hinder efficiency and performance Formulate suggestions and be prepared to implement new practices Developing Solutions:
Review and improve upon current modulars & space planning requirements Assist in determination of assortments, layouts, and merchandising Create and update Planograms Analyze inventory positions and suggest high-impact enhancements Utilizing Omnichannel
Experience:
Leverage a deep understanding of the market landscape, provide suggestions and insights.
Understand our unique seasonality and shopper trends.
Proactively and holistically anticipate trends, threats, opportunities.
Advise on eCommerce merchandising, photography, promotions, search engine optimization, etc.
Managing and Providing Data:
Coordinate, track, and catalog samples and sample requests amongst all suppliers Develop best-in-class reports delivering concise, timely intelligence on the competitive landscape Report on in-stock, inventory flow, sales trends, and more Maximize category performance Partnering with Excellence:
Understand that the goal of the work is the success of the category for our customers Advise on strategy & execution with laser focus on precise goals and stated outcomes Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills Develop cross-functional relationships with a variety of counterparts Experience & Education Requirements:
Bachelors Degree with a Business concentration, or equivalent experience 2 years in Category Management, Data Collection & Analysis and/or Business Intelligence, preferably using IRI, Nielsen, etc.
