Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs - Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases - Interview clients and witnesses to gather necessary information - Maintain and organize legal files and documents - Prepare and draft correspondence, memos, and other legal documents - Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings - Perform data entry and maintain accurate records - Assist with document review and analysis - Provide general administrative support to the legal team Skills:
- Strong interviewing skills to gather information from clients and witnesses - Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills - Proficient in writing and drafting legal documents - Familiarity with legal drafting software such as iManage - Accurate data entry skills with attention to detail - Strong clerical skills for organizing files and documents - Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively - Familiarity with legal research tools such as Westlaw - Experience with document review processes Note:
Paralegal certification or relevant experience is preferred but not required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
