General Summary:
The Category Manager - Walmart leads the key strategic category management initiatives for an assigned Category(ies) at Walmart. Responsibilities include working to deliver themost effective category, shopper, and channel-specific insights to drive category growth at Walmart. In addition, the Category Manager - Walmart is responsible for managing the Third Party Data Warehouse tool.
Primary Responsibilities:
Advisorship(s) of a key strategic category(ies) at Walmart responsible for providing strategic and tactical recommendations to Walmart buyers on the Distribution, Shelving, Merchandising, and Pricing to improve category performance
Responsible for generating and designing compelling category, shopper, and consumer insights
Develops strong working relationships with Walmart's buyers and Walmart cross functional partners
Manages the modular relay process including the drawing of modulars
Provides support to Walmart buyers in developing an integrated category strategy.
Interacts with cross-functional teams to provide strategic actionable insights based on market data analysis and insights.
Provides senior-level briefings on market dynamics and provides guidance on potential strategies to leverage insights. Develops communication strategy to implement key research insights into business plans at the customer level.
Creates direction for joint business planning development and for the category management function based on insights.
Provides input into customer planning cycle based on knowledge of category and shopper trends, competitive issues, etc.
Manages Category specific customer needs - e.g. Category reviews, etc.
Manages the operation of the Third Party Data Warehouse tool which would include but not be limited to: Managing Interaction with Third Party Provider to ensure optimal results, Training/Organizing Training, Developing Best Practices, Delivering ROI Reporting, etc.
Job Complexity:
Works with cross-functional groups including the customer, customer team, and World HQ resources.
Understands the unique characteristics and challenges of various retail channels and their implications and opportunities for Campbell's categories and their impact on the Walmart business
Ensures continuous skill building within the function through the introduction of new tools and practices to attain and maintain thought leadership in the category management discipline.
Creative and Skilled in using non traditional ways to get data and insights for channels and businesses that are limited in data from traditional means.
Management of Third Party Data Provider
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree

3+ years CPG/Retail industry experience, including 2+ years Category Management experience
Preferred qualifications:

Strong knowledge of the Walmart Modular Process (Preferably on Edibles and/or Consumables)

Strong knowledge of Third Party Data Warehouse Systems (Orchestro, RSI, Shiloh, etc.)

IRI and/or Nielsen (Advanced Panel/Scanner data applications and software navigation)

Analytical Skills

Technical Skills (ProSpace, Excel, Access, etc)

Category, Consumer, & Shopper Knowledge (Kantar, Mintel, etc.)

This position works in a customer team office . Due to the nature of the position, modular work may require manual labor and heavy lifting not to exceed 30 pounds. Approximately 15-25% travel may be required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
