Team Lead - Category Manager/Advisor
Our client, a top-tiered consumer packaged-goods company, is looking for aTeam Lead- category Manager/Advisorto add to theirBentonville, ARteam.
The person would be accountable for developing robust category strategies for mutual customer and company benefit that are based on Consumer/Shopper insights. As Senior Category Manager, you will be responsible for managing two people proactively identifying strategic category opportunities for customers as well as, develop and disseminate category management best practices across the organization.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Category Principles with retailers that will lead to category growth
Develop strategic alliance with key retailers
Work with direct reports to develop their understanding and ownership of business segment plans, priorities and sales strategic objectives
Leads communication, staffing, training and competency development within the customer organization
Responsible for the management and developing expertise in external market and consumer data sources
Provides post- launch support and recommendations to Sales and Marketing through performance tracking and analysis
Maintains awareness of developments within the retail and competitive environment
Responsible for supporting all other sales productivity and initiatives as required
Requirements:
University Degree or College Diploma in related field
Account Management experience an asset

years of working with WSP, developing templates and completing analysis
Proficiency of, and experience with, using Nielsen analytic tools
Category Management experience with a top-tiered consumer packaged goods company
Understanding of customer research
Advanced Excel skills
