Our Logistics Account Managers focus on the brokerage part of our business and provide transportation solutions to help our customers get their goods across North America in the most cost effective and seamless way. This requires building relationships with customers, identifying their shipping needs and figuring out the best solution to meet their needs. You will also handle the day-to-day challenges that are presented in the transportation industry.
Are you new to the transportation industry? We offer an industry-leading 12-month training program to get you up to speed on the industry and teach you the skills you need to succeed. Ultimately, you will gain experience and knowledge in sales and carrier negotiation so you can develop and manage your own book of business.
Essential Functions:
Build customer relationships and identifies their shipping needs
Develop new customers and business through sales leads
Present customers with cost-effective transportation solutions
Qualify and actively prospect for new customers
Establish and maintain carrier relationships to ensure success in meeting customer's shipping needs
Coordinate movements of freight through our extensive carrier network
Shift responsibilities between operational and sales demands
Work interactively within a team to maximize overall performance
Knowledge: B.A or equivalent experience preferred. We will accept any reasonable combination of education, training and experience.

Strong negotiating and problem solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment
Demonstrated excellent time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills
Customer service approach with a sense of urgency
Proven success in brokering freight and developing carrier relationships
Strong knowledge of truckload pricing models and effective negotiating skills a plus

A positive, motivated, can-do attitude to excel beyond expectations
Competitive energy and entrepreneurial spirit
0-3 years experience in a commission-based sales role with strong customer service OR
0-3 years experience in a non-retail sales role with strong customer service
Experience in the transportation industry is a plus
Multiple mode experience is a plus
Experience navigating transportation management systems is a plus
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and to work on a computer terminal and at a desk for long periods. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
