The candidate will be responsible for remotely supporting Windows and Unix / Linux based systems for one of the largest infrastructures in the country. The Help Desk Tech works in a team that supports and maintains all software, security, and server configurations for physical and virtual based systems. Must have hands-on experience with remote troubleshooting steps and tools used to resolve server performance issues, recommends upgrades if required, apply OS patches, and work with other support teams to validate application and hardware functionality.
We're looking for applicants with 5-7 years of experience in a large enterprise environment or related area. The successful Tech has extensive knowledge of support concepts, tools, practices, and procedures within the client server scope.
Core Duties:
Provide second level remote support for the Windows and Unix / Linux server environment
Provide backend server implementation and support
Develop, publish, and maintain support documentation
Ability to rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
Work with a dynamic support team under direct supervision
Work extended hours under tight deadlines to successfully meet objectives
Technical Skills:
5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies
Strong server troubleshooting skills
Extensive knowledge of Windows 2003 / 2008, Active Directory
Experience administering DNS, DHCP, File, Print, Active Directory, and Group / Security policies in an enterprise network environment
Solid documentation skills
Experience in maintaining standardized IT environments
MCSE certification desired, 2008 preferred
UNIX / LINUX experience desired

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
