Description

The CB Accounting internship will be a value added member of the Accounting and Finance Department and will support the general accounting functions within the company. Duties include:

Participate in the month-end closing process
Assist in month-end accrual calculations
Prepare accounting procedure documents
Perform financial analysis as requested
Enter accounts payable vouchers
Prepare invoices/follow up on past due receivables
Research and answer vendor inquiries. Work with the other members of the Operations/HR/Finance team as needed.
Contribute significantly to the implementation of new accounting software
Education and Skills Requirements:
Detail-oriented with problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and under a minimum of supervision.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
Strong skill with Excel spreadsheets
Strong interest in accounting as a career
High school education or above and current enrollment in an applicable degree program in Accounting is required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
