Lead Graphic Designer

Summary
The Lead Graphic Designer is charged with delivering design that visually represents our company's identity. It is a people-oriented job, involving development of new concepts for design projects, execution of concepts, and ongoing UI design. It involves working with internal and external clients, pitching designs, and understanding organizational needs. The majority of projects will require the hands on development and revision of visual designs. Occasionally, the Creative Production Manager may be responsible for recruiting and managing third party design vendors as well as internal design resources.
Responsibilities
Work with management to guide and execute creative direction for company services and programs.
Manage multiple projects from concept through completion
Work with the business team to develop online and offline materials that meet the business objectives of the organization and advance our brand strategy.
Work with the development team to understand the evolving functionality of our online app, develop and test UI design for back end administrative functions, public facing features, and mobile views.
Test and iterate designs on the company website and online application to optimize for conversion and ease of use.
Collaborate with partner nonprofits to understand their organizational goals and design landing pages and marketing sites that are optimized to leverage Pure Charity toolsets via wordpress plugins and APIs.
Supervise and inspire the creative vendors and team members as needed.
Provide quality control over all design from concept to implementation.
Required Skills
Undergraduate degree in Fine Arts or related field or equivalent visual design experience required.
Demonstrated experience working with large-scale web sites, online applications, and marketing.
Thorough understanding of interactive communications and delivery systems, processes, and user interface design as well as industry best practices.
Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography & limitations of the web.
A strong working knowledge of experience design, brand development, interactive commerce and creative process.
Print and web design capabilities:
must know how to work in both media for integrated campaigns.
Apply best practices in user interface and interactive design, including image optimization and site mapping.
Experience with software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, & InDesign.
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, & WordPress is a plus for this position.
Video capture & editing experience is a plus for this position.
Photography skills are a plus for this position.
Ability to lead projects from concept to completion.
Ability to make evaluative judgments.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and schedule multiple work assignments concurrently.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Ability to supervise and train team members as needed.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
