Administrative Assistant

Position Summary and Objective
This is a detail and availability oriented position. The desired candidate will posses an ability to work 15-20 hours a week. Availability to be on call after hours desired. After hours are after 5PM and before 06:
30 AM M-F and both Saturday and Sunday the full 24 hour period. On call activity includes warehouse part processing and answering calls. Volume fluctuates based on client demand. Tracking time spent on work activities outside the office environment, while being prompt for the scheduled time in office is required. Living in close proximity to Bentonville Home Office is a strong lending factor to the candidates success.
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for different functions involving NWA Courier's daily business and executions. In addition to accounting and administrative work:
one can be expected to dispatch jobs to our drivers in various markets, complete warehouse tasks such as but not limited to:
part-pulls, will-calls, inbounding, stocking, warehouse upkeep, etc The Administrative Assistant holds a crucial position with the company and should display a strong sense of professionalism, dedication and prioritized thinking towards our internal and external personnel.
Time-management with a strong focus in the ability to prioritize tasks successfully
Accounting Experience or relative ability to handle numbers picking this task up quickly.
Ability to make quick, informed, responsible decisions
Strong mindset in customer service
Ability and desire to work independently, yet in a team environment
Consistent follow up availability and punctuality
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Professionalism through verbal and written channels
Able to complete warehousing tasks with little to no supervision
Ability to pass a TSA background check and corresponding testing
Acknowledgement to the possibility of working odd hours, nights, weekends and holidays
Organization and detail oriented
Ability to lift 50lbs
Duties and Tasks
Accounting for:
taxes (Quickbooks), invoicing, reconciling, auditing, accounts payable.
Assist with other administrative duties including:
job pricing, clerical, and janitorial.
Dispatching via telephone from outside the office.
Upkeep and cleanliness of office space

Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to operate office machines (fax, printer, labeler, etc )
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
Previous relevant work history

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
