Regional Intermodal opening - Class A CDL needed
This is a Class A CDL position. Please do not apply for the job if you do not hold a valid Commercial drivers license. I do not have any type of training or schools.
----------Kansas City Based Regional Intermodal--------
Kansas City Intermodal Account picks up from and delivers to and from the major ramp in Kansas City. You will hub from your home town (truck goes home with you) and spend the rest of the week in and out of KC. I will then hub you back home after your five days of running. You will deliver within a 5 state radius of KC running into Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Arkansas and Oklahoma. This account stays within a 300 mile radius of KC.
All freight is on containers and is all no touch. All of my loads are preplanned at least 12 hours in advance. There is a 30 minute turnaround time in the yard for a live load and a 20 minute for a drop and hook. The current drivers currently average 2650 - 2950 miles per week but good drivers could run as much as 3000 miles per week on average.
The Job starts at .40 cpm for drivers with 6 months of experience and goes up for experienced drivers. (All miles are paid the same -- Empty or loaded) The stop pay is $30 per stop for all live unloads. Job is paying $1,000.00 to $1,200.00 per week to start!!!!!
You will NOT get full weekends off to start but can work into at least one weekend day. This could be Friday and Saturday off or Sunday and Monday off , your choice in the schedule. Drivers are out all week, but could get by the house occasionally during the week for a 10 hour break.
All drivers do not take their truck home for time off. If you live within the 50 mile radius of KC the truck stays there. If you are outside the radius, the truck goes home with you. You can then transfer to Monday through Friday when available and there are also local driving positions that come available.
