Director, Global Government Affairs-Asia

Position Description
As part of Walmart's Global Public Policy and Government Affairs team, the Director of Global Government Affairs for Asia will lead global government affairs and public policy for the Asia region. The position is based at Walmart's corporate headquarters in Bentonville, Arkansas and will work closely with corporate affairs and business colleagues in Walmart's retail and sourcing markets to: monitor the political and policy landscape throughout the region; develop and drive stakeholder engagement strategies; manage relationships with key government officials and other influencers in the U.S. and the region; direct the global policy agenda for the region; strategize with business leaders on emerging market issues and support business development; engage with U.S. and international industry associations; engage with relevant multilateral organizations; and, support executive engagement in the region.
Develops strategies and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals.
Develops and implements international individual and company coalitions in support of Walmart international policies and projects.
Develops strategies related to community involvement and sustainability.
Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce.
Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics.
Enables growth opportunities for Walmart's new and existing international markets
Ensures strategies for International Corporate Affairs align with internatinal market strategies
Travels internationally to and from multiple facilities or work-sites requiring extended overnight stays.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in International Relations, Political Science, Business, Economics, or related field and 5 years corporate affairs, international business, or related field OR 7 years experience in corporate affairs, international business, or related field.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
4 years international corporate affairs experience, including multiple overseas assignments.
2 years of supervisory experience.
4 years corporate experience involving direct media relations or coalition building.
4 years' experience in not-for-profit organizations, non-governmental organizations (NGO), or foundations.
Master's degree in journalism, international relations, political science, business, economics, or related field.
Business proficiency in a second language (preferably, Chinese / Mandarin / Cantonese).

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
