Prin Project Manager - Cloud IT Operations (datacenter, telecomm, ISP experience)

Coordinates all aspects of internal information system-specific projects from initiation to delivery. Projects often involve network, server, or software implementation and upgrades, PC deployment and the like.
Coordinates work performed by IT staff and internal customers/partners by defining project specifications, performing feasibility and needs/impact assessments. Develops detailed project plans and manages all implementation processes including resource allocation, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, testing, documentation, training and on-time delivery within budget constraints.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically seven years of project management, product design or related experience needed.

Cloud IT Operations is looking for a dynamic individual to deliver and manage data center capacity specializing in telecommunications requirements within co-location facilities as well as leased facilities. Individual will coordinate with other project managers and data center engineers to facilitate new capacity deployments and manage existing data center requirements. Individual will work locally and globally with strategic telco providers and Internet exchanges.
Responsibilities -
Deliver and manage data center designs and telco circuit diversity in support of Oracle Cloud business. This involves maintaining data center map designs, managing telco provisioning, negotiating contracts, managing funding and partnering with project deployment teams.
Skills
Familiar with telecommunication industry, internet service provider, and telecommunications cable providers, and regional/global internet exchanges. Experience with IT and facility operations of a data center. Should have an understanding of data center tier ratings, and network designs to be capable of reviewing and applying this knowledge towards profiling a site.

Education -
Min. BS degree preferably in the engineering or IT field and formal education and/or certifications in telecommunications and/or networking.
Experience -
At least 10 years experience working in the IT infrastructure support and 5 years experience working in telecommunications and/or networking field. Should have good knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, facilities, and structured cabling (fiber, copper). Individual should be capable of analyzing and negotiating telco contracts, and provide detailed network layouts and designs.

- Skilled with Microsoft office products, emphasis on Visio
- Experienced with CAD software

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
