Manager, Demand Forecasting

Position Description
Leads forecast analysis for assigned department by identifying and analyzing factors that impact customer demand for products (for example, product or category trends, seasonality, competitive products); designing and conducting statistical forecast analysis and ad hoc reports to incorporate impacting factors and to identify trends, performance, and concerns; evaluating historical data (for example, lost sales, market trends, and promotions); determining and incorporating demand forecast inputs; conducting error analysis in order to identify any gaps or concerns; adjusting forecasting model based on changes to customer demand and trends; communicating forecast, including risks, uncertainty, and assumptions; and collaborating with key stakeholders (for example, Replenishment Managers) to align demand forecasts to business plans.
Leads inventory management process and strategy improvement (for example, safety stock) by evaluating and identifying factors that impact department and item performance (for example, sales, inventory, store space); analyzing opportunities and gaps; developing solutions to address opportunities and gaps; recommending system settings that support the department strategy
and align to business plans and financial goals; collaborating with key stakeholders (for example, Replenishment Directors) to gain alignment for recommendations; and completing and maintaining inventory management settings in order to drive consistency and effectiveness.
Develops and leads demand forecast analysis optimization by researching and applying improved forecasting techniques, methods, and approaches; developing standard operating procedures for demand analysis processes and systems (for example, one best way initiatives); reviewing and managing forecast and statistical models exceptions and gaps; updating demand
analysis models based on requirements, learnings and industry best practices; identifying system and process updates needed to support optimized models; developing approaches, processes, and procedures (for example, mass setting uploads, user interface changes) applicable across a broad scale; evaluating forecasted business impact of process and system automation solutions; and gaining-buy on optimization plans from key stakeholders and leadership.
Drives implementation, evaluation, and adaptation of demand management processes and analytical models by developing implementation and testing plan for designed changes; identifying areas of positive impact (for example, finances, workflow, speed); collaborating with key stakeholders to drive adoption of new processes and procedures; training key stakeholders (for
example, Demand Managers in different categories, Replenishment Managers) on new processes and procedures; communicating and ensuring understanding of how changes align across demand management categories; testing and tracking results on process, system, and model changes; and incorporating results into processes and model changes.
Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans;
and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Statistics, Business, or related field and 3 years' experience in analytics, industrial engineering, supply chain, merchandising, or related field OR 5 years' experience in analytics, industrial engineering, supply chain, merchandising, or related field.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field.
3 years' experience utilizing JDA demand and/or fulfillment software.
7 years' experience in analytics, statistical modeling, or related field.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
