Senior Manager, Merch Ops

Position Description
As a Senior Manager on this team, you will have an opportunity to be a part of a broad merchant transformation and digital merchandising initiative. Does this sound open ended and maybe a little gray? That's because, this role will allow for innovation and creativity ? we think that's the fun part. Your role in this transformation will be to:
Gather information on, analyze and understand how merchandising decisions are made
Lead the identification and structuring of the opportunities/ problems/ biggest pain points in merchandising processes and technology
Partner with associates in merchant and merchandising operations to formulate and test hypotheses for how work can be done differently (changes to process)
Develop recommendations on new ways of working (process) and enablers of these new ways of working (people, process and technology)
Lead/ facilitate the implementation of recommendations in the context of the broader merchant transformation; understanding and managing the implications of a decision on the strategy (and other teams working on different parts of the program)
Though it sounds pretty straightforward, the expectations above actually require a lot of hard work. You will need to build consensus on tough decisions, skillfully manage change when implementing solutions, and maintain a relentless focus on execution with a "client mindset."Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Business, Merchandising, Retail Management, Marketing, or related field and 4 years experience in merchandising, retail pricing, sourcing, operations management, finance, marketing, or related field OR 6 years experience in merchandising, retail pricing, sourcing, operations management, finance, marketing, or related field.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Logical reasoning and creative thinking to untangle and simplify complex problems
Communicate these complex problems simply and effectively, both verbally and in writing
Approach problems with a broad, strategic management mindset - anticipate and prepare for the next issue/ unintended consequences
Recommendations are delivered following a structured approach (i.e. situation, complication, resolution) and the details are mutually exclusive/ collectively exhaustive (MECE)
2 years experience working with cross-functional teams.
3 years experience using advanced Microsoft Office functionality (for example, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
4 years experience developing financial, marketing, or merchandising strategies.
4 years of supervisory experience.
Master's degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Business, Merchandising, Retail Management, Marketing, or related field.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
