US Regional Compensation Director

Responsible for the development, implementation, administration and budgeting of global HR strategic company initiatives in one or more of the following areas: employment, compensation, benefits, HR operations, employee relations, diversity, immigration and organizational development Manages a professional staff.
Play an important role in leading the HR group as a strategic business partner, change agent, and member of the line management staff. Develop and implement global company-wide programs and initiatives (e.g., benefit programs, manpower planning, salary/bonus/stock review, organizational change, performance management, and training assessment). Advise managers and employees on HR practices and procedures. Manage employee relations issues and conduct investigations in support of corporate ethics and values. Ensures staffing needs are met in accordance with governmental specifications.
Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations. Key skills and abilities include coaching, influencing, facilitation, presentation, communication, process development, analysis, and problem solving. Ability to travel. Successful track record as a generalist and manager. BA/BS degree.

This position will be responsible to provide strategic and operational leadership to the compensation function within Oracle s US region. The position will report to the VP, Global Compensation & Workforce Intelligence and be part of the global C&B team. The Director will partner with both roles to execute Oracle s total rewards initiatives, including the implementation, communication, reporting and administration of programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Understand Oracle s businesses and market within the region;
Effectively partner with HR Business Partners and the Business Leadership to provide insightful Compensation analysis, advice and recommendations for specific problems relating to salaries, job classifications, and job content issues;
Partner with Recruitment and Executive Recruiting to provide compensation analysis, advice and recommendations for candidates;
Manage all regional Compensation programs, policies and procedures, including but not limited to job evaluation, job classification/reclassification, salary structures;
Develop competitive and cost effective pay structures ensuring that the company maintains internal equity and is externally competitive;
Evaluate the effectiveness of existing Compensation programs, policies and guidelines and ensure they are market competitive, cost effective, aligned with corporate goals and are in compliance with company policies and government/regulatory requirements;
Partner with the global Compensation teams to balance local, regional and industry norms within the regional Compensation framework;
Support M&A efforts in relation to Compenastion programs as needed throughout the region;
Manage region specific activities associated with the annual bonus, salary and equity planning and administration cycles;
Support ad-hoc projects and corporate initiatives on Compensation items within the region, such as regional reporting requests, process requirements and policy adherence;
Oversight of Corporate Compensation approval process/requirements
Lead, or contribute to region wide projects requiring Compensation perspective, e.g. On Call/Call out, Over Time policies, etc.;
Provide leadership and direction around participation in market data initiatives in the region, evaluating and preparing competitive benchmark data analysis as required;
Partner with other members of global C&B and HR teams to support sharing/transfer of knowledge and increase understanding of international Compensation programs and practices.

Strong US experience with progressive organizations preferably in the High Tech industry;

Confident presentation and facilitation skills to all levels within the organization;

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
