Real Estate Property Tax Manager

Position Description
Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans
Develops and executes department training and mentoring initiatives
Drives and maintains tax- related and procedural documentation and communication to ensure compliance
Manages complex tax payment and collection projects for the company and company subsidiaries
Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity
Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions
Provides strategic support for the department to ensure compliance and mitigate company costs
Provides support for tax-related systems and process changes across the company and subsidiaries to ensure compliance
Manages risk mitigation strategies for tax processes by collaborating with cross-functional partners (for example, Operations, auditors) to identify
areas of opportunity; determining strategies and processes for improvement; maintaining strategic alliances with state and local jurisdictional contacts
and state auditors to streamline steps in audit and compliance processes; and recommending system or process enhancements to management.Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field OR 3 years experience in finance or related field.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
3 years tax experience.
4 years experience in accounting, finance, or related field.
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
Certified Management Accountant (CMI).
Certified Master Inspector (CMI).
Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Master's degree in accounting, finance, real estate, business, mathematics, or related field.
Six sigma certifcation.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
