Senior Manager, Global Lease Accounting

Position Description
Manages lease accounting by reviewing ASC 840 templates completed by local markets/segments by comparing to related lease documentation to ensure proper classification and accounting treatment of leases and related items (e.g., leasehold improvements), as well as ensuring lease transactions are recorded, in accordance with company accounting policy and controls; verifies the conclusions reached per the ASC 840 lease template are properly recorded in the accounting books and records; and working with local markets/segments to resolve any discrepancies.
Monitors key performance measures related to lease accounting to ensure timely compliance with related internal controls by tracking the number of leases reviewed, results of ASC 840 template reviews, and other key metrics. Creates reports for submission to leadership.Serves as a resource in fielding lease-related questions from the local markets/segments by reviewing and having full knowledge of Walmart lease accounting policies, as well as assisting in the monitoring of the regulatory environment for potential new lease requirements or revisions to the interpretations of existing standards. Tracks the status of the Lease Center of Expertise's consultation activities and aggregates information for reporting to leadership. Likely to assist in implementation of new lease system, evaluation of new lease standards and guidance on processes and controls over leases.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
3 years of experience in financial accounting or related field.
3 years of experience in researching and applying US GAAP and IFRS technical accounting issues.
3 years of supervisory experience OR leading and completing cross-functional projects.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Accounting or related field.
1 year of experience in ASC840 Lease Accounting.
1 year financial accounting and reporting experience in public accounting working with fortune 500 clients.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
