Strategy Manager

Position Description
Analyze industry and market trends, perform competitive assessments, and research emerging technologies
Apply knowledge of current and emerging technologies to assess impact on Walmart's technology landscape
Assess impact of Walmart's overall business strategy as well as segment strategy on the technology landscape, including organization, information and infrastructure and applications
Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects
Formulate strategic recommendations and initiatives for Walmart Technology and translate them into actionable roadmaps
Ensures business needs are being met
Construct high level business cases, complex financial models, and scenario analyses
Effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams within and outside Walmart Technology
Engage with technology leadership to define, drive, and report on key strategic initiatives
Support the strategic planning process and stand-up of strategic initiatives
Act as a divisional thought leader and champion for divisional strategy
Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity
Minimum Qualifications
2 years of supervisory experience OR 2 years experience leading teams.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field and 6 years experience in information technology or related field within the past 10 years OR 8 years experience in information technology or related field within the past 10 years OR Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field and 4 years experience in information technology or related field within the past 10 years.

Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills, with ability to challenge the status quo
Ability to communicate complex ideas to senior / executive stakeholders in written and verbal fashion
Comfortable with uncertainty and incomplete / ambiguous data
Data driven approach to strategy development; ability to make reasonably and defensible assumptions in formulation of recommendations
Strong influencer and collaborator
Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
