Sam's Club is expanding its Decision Science department and has several exciting new roles opening up. The Merchandise Analytics team performs the analysis and builds the tools to optimize our product assortment, pricing, promotion, and distribution. As a member of the Merchandise Analytics team, you will apply your skills in statistics, design of experiments, regression, clustering, decision trees, machine learning and other methods to huge data sets. You will work cross-functionally on projects with a broad array of internal clients and external partners, translating business needs into actionable and material solutions. As you cull out insights you will be accountable for developing strategies and programs to optimize our product decisions in order to increase sales and grow membership. You will be responsible for predicting and measuring the results of your work, presenting your work to peers and executives, and influencing the organization to adopt your methods.

Analyzes and interprets data to ensure its accuracy and the accuracy of all analytics output
Consults on the business strategy
Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans
Ensures analytics and measuring methodologies employed are sound and that results are properly interpreted and applied
Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity
Participates in cross-functional collaboration with other support functions
Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions
Minimum Qualifications
Expertise with data and common data analytic tools.Graduate degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Econometrics, or a related field OR a Master's degree in Business Administration with an undergraduate degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Econometrics, or a related field.Additional Preferred Qualifications
2 years' experience developing and automating insights using in-database analytics, SQL, Hive, AlteryX, or similar programming languages to retrieve, merge, and hygiene data from multiple sources or platforms.
2 years' experience developing insights from internal data.
2 years' experience developing visualizations using a Business Intelligence (BI) tool (for example, Oracle or Tableau) to create a report to specifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
