Director-Technical Architecture

Position Description

Develops and implements department strategies
Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce
Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals
Develops and manages budget in area of responsibility
Ensures application and infrastructure architectural solutions are stable, secure, and compliant with Company standards and practices
Manages invoicing and payments
Oversees contractor and supplier process
Provides overall direction
Strengthens department leadership
Skills You'll Have:
Ability to manage and mentor a team, as well as the ability to adapt to the ever-changing priorities of the retail business and technology. Responsible for leading teams focused on:
Creating reference implementations that accelerates developers and become defacto standards.
designing large scale distributed systems
developing prototypes
working with cloud-based technologies
Designs and Implements Integration across multiple technology platforms
Creates, drives and ensures execution of Technical Architecture
Extensive experience with multiple Programming Languages, tools, technologies, frameworks & methodologies
Constant drive to stay up-to-date with the latest technical, retail industry news and developments.
Capability to adhere to team processes and standards, while leading process improvement efforts.
Ability to work quickly and efficiently without sacrificing a consistently high level of attention to detail.
Exceptional presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
Extensive experience negotiating business decisions.
Minimum Qualifications
4 years of supervisory experience.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field and 8 years experience in information technology or related field within the past 15 years OR 10 years experience in information technology or related field within the past 15 years OR Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field and 6 years experience in information technology or related field within the past 15 years.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
4 years experience developing, presenting, and implementing technology strategies.
4 years experience managing large-scale global projects.
4 years experience supervising teams in both direct reporting and matrix structures
4 years of contract and budget management experience (for example, procurement of services, hardware, cost center P&L management).

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
