Completes assigned special merchandising project
Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans
Develops a thorough knowledge of how merchant operations contribute to the execution of category strategy in each of the core functional Merchandising areas (Planning, Category Management, Modular Development, Replenishment, and Pricing Divisions)
Develops a thorough knowledge of store operations in different areas (for example, Operations, Customer Service, Receiving)
Learns the role of customer-focused functions (Marketing, Customer Experience, Brand Management, and Product Development) in supporting development and delivery of assortment strategy
Learns the role of the Buyer in developing a category strategy
Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company standards of ethics and integrity
Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field with 3.0 or greater GPA OR 2 years experience in a retail position, including buying, sourcing, planning, product development, replenishment, or marketing.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
1 year experience analyzing financial data including reviewing balance sheets, profit and loss statements or managing a budget.
2 years experience using Microsoft Office software (including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) in a work environment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
