Overlay sales personnel providing specialist product expertise to the sales force.
Partners with Account, Technology, and Application sales representatives to qualify and close new business on Oracle solutions. Provides specific industry or product expertise to facilitate the closing of deals within sales representatives territory. Interacts with sales team to architect the solution, and develop and execute solution strategies for market. Manages solution opportunities to obtain appropriate and necessary resources for all qualified opportunities. Leads teams in the sales process for establishing market visibility and deal visibility. Presents/demonstrates solution to high level clients and industry conference attendees. May provide training to field sales on industry/solutions. Builds and maintains a network and up to date specific industry or product knowledge.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 8 years applicable experience preferred. Subject matter expertise in industry/product space. Knowledge of key industry leaders and management. Knowledge of Oracle competition. Presentation and product demonstration experience. Previous consultative selling experience preferred. Excellent communication, negotiating, and closing skills with prospects and customers. Travel may be needed. BA/BS degree in related field.

OracleUtilities Global Business Unit is seeking a Manager, Regulatory Affairs, to expandour business opportunities throughout Canada. We need an entrepreneurialprofessional who can use the policy-making and regulatory processes to advancethe market for energy efficiency and demand response, utility investment intechnology innovation, and accelerate our sales. The ideal candidate will bebased in Canada, but we will consider placement in Opower s San Francisco, Californiaor Arlington, Virginia office for the right candidate.

About the Job
Asthe Manager, Regulatory Affairs, you will be responsible for leading andexecuting Opower s regulatory and policy strategy throughout Canada, but with afocus on Ontario. Opower works with utilities, and engages closely with provincialgovernment officials, regulators, and stakeholders to remove obstacles orpromote policies to advance sales. In this role, you will report to theDirector, Regulatory Affairs and work closely with the regional sales team.
Theideal candidate brings business judgment to regulatory work and has the acumento align regulatory strategy with business need. You are a relationshipbuilder, policy advocate, and communicator with a strong business sense. Youhave a combination of qualitative, analytical, and communication skillssufficient to handle technical policy issues and be able to communicateand shape outcomes in a compelling manner across a variety of stakeholders. Candidatesshould be energized by spending time in the field growing a market more than sittingat a desk. Regional knowledge and relationships significantly valued. Thisrole will involve travel about 25 percent of the time and will be based eitherin Canada, or at Opower s offices in San Francisco, California or Arlington,Virginia.
Responsibilities
Collaborateclosely with the sales team and our clients to build regulatory acceptance withProvincial regulators for Oracle - Opower s innovative products.
Buildstrong relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory commissions,state energy officials, legislators, utility clients, environmental groups, andconsumer advocates.
Be a publicspokesperson for Opower in regulatory proceedings, legislative hearings,conferences, and other external meetings.
Work withindustry and stakeholder partners to grow and/or defend the overall market forenergy efficiency and demand response in your region.

About You
You have aBA/BS and preferably a relevant advanced degree.
You have atleast five years of work experience in the energy or utility industry.
You are anexceptional written and oral communicator who knows how to advocate for anidea.
You aredetail-oriented, entrepreneurial, and have strong political instincts.
You canthink strategically about how to solve complex problems and can convince othersto adopt your vision.
You are astrong relationship builder and connector.
You haveproven analytical skills and at least a basic understanding of statistics.
Youfunction well in a fast-paced, team-focused environment where you need to buildconsensus across departments.
You arepassionate about becoming an energy efficiency and demand response evangelist, andshaping regulatory and legislative policy that advances utility investment intechnology innovation.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
