Senior Manager Compliance - Sams Club

Position Description
Develops and implements compliance best practices and risk mitigation strategies across division, region, market, and club management by
identifying trends, risks, and areas of opportunity based on compliance objectives; leading strategy development for risk mitigation; influencing the
design of new and enhancements to existing compliance policies, processes, and procedures; collaborating with field leadership to conduct in-depth,
detailed club reviews and focus groups; driving alignment across multiple cross-functional teams (for example, Club Support, Operations, Asset
Protection) to ensure the achievement of business objectives; determining return on investment (ROI) and compliance policy impact on business
profitability; overseeing the execution of compliance initiatives; and guiding facilities on the development of action plans to improve compliance
performance and establish expectations for future performance.
Identifies the need for and supports development of comprehensive compliance training programs to empower field associates by analyzing risk
assessment data to gain insight on training needs; reviewing and updating current compliance standards and procedures; proactively identifying
compliance risk, strategies, and initiatives and creating practical solutions for field execution; building tools to establish standard operating procedures
and deliver a consistent approach to training; collaborating with senior leadership to gain understanding and buy-in of regulatory requirements;
communicating with cross-functional stakeholders on key business initiatives; and partnering with field operations leadership to ensure execution of
compliance processes and procedures.
Provides data-based insights for compliance strategies by identifying critical factors (for example, industry trends, best practices, business strategy,
seasonal relevance) driving compliance objectives; compiling and analyzing data to review solution outcomes and create target goals; synthesizing
and communicating performance metrics; reviewing gap analysis of current capabilities and identifying resources needed to close gaps; translating
business issues and questions into research and analytical queries; collaborating with cross-functional teams (for example, Merchandising,
Operations, Finance, Tax) to identify best practices and opportunities to enhance existing or develop new compliance solutions; and developing
recommendations based on data analytics and research in order to drive buy-in from senior leadership.
Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business
plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring
progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work
environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching
for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness.
Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to
others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy.
Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business
partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost effectiveness;
and participating in and supporting community outreach events.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Business, or related field and 4 years' experience in project management, regulatory
compliance, risk management, or related field OR 6 years' experience in project management, regulatory compliance, risk management, or related
field.
4 years' experience managing cross-functional projects.
2 years' experience managing and maintaining compliance programs, projects, or governance processes.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, Business, or related field.
4 years' change management experience or experience implementing process improvements.
2 years' experience in Sam's Club Operations.
Lean Six-Sigma Green Belt Certification or Change Management Certification.
Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) Certification.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
