Director, Category & Shopper Insights

The Director of Category and Shopper Insights will lead and be responsible for delivering Best in Class Category Management and Shopper Insights within the Dairy and Frozen categories supporting the Walmart and Sam's team.
Develops and directs the execution of Dean Foods category strategies and leads alignment and coordination to account growth challenges to build solid Valued Retailer Distributor Strategic Partnerships at Walmart/Sam's
Leads the strategic/conceptual positioning of Dean Foods as the Dairy strategic thought leaders in the industry across shelving and assortment growth strategies at Walmart/Sam's.
Accountable for driving Dean Food's goals and objectives at Walmart/Sam's.
Optimizes Vender partner relationships to deliver best practices category management support and meet sales objectives.
Contributes to the development and implementation of Category Management BIC tool set.
Execute Category Management strategy by working closely with Insights, Field Leadership Sales Teams and our Category Management leaders.
Execute against the Category Management strategy that is aligned to the brand initiatives and communicate it for execution to the broader Walmart/Sam's Field Sales Teams team.
Responsible for leading all category management and shopper insight core category and macro "shopper" strategy for Dean Foods at Walmart/Sam's.
Responsible for execution against the internal Category Management
Accountable for contributing to the strategic brand plan leveraging customer strategy, category strategy and shopper insights, translating to a path to purchase.
Responsible for customizing impactful selling stories that use fact based data and insights around key selling opportunities, highlighting business opportunities and threats by applying a variety of Category Management skill sets.
This role will provide indispensable analytical acumen to the efforts toward achieving Dean Food's business objectives and Retailer Partnerships.
Develops and communicates the strategic shopper learning that will earn Dean Food's the reputation among retailers of being a bona fide shopper expert among other Dairy companies and that will enable Dean Food's to influence significantly and favorably by the retail merchandising and marketing of its brands.
Crafts compelling, factual, Insight-based "cases for customer action" that enables Dean Food's to achieve its goals at retail while delivering incrementally to the retailer.
Helps design and implement category strategies that identify genuinely shared opportunities for incrementality across the category within a retailer.
Works with many cross-functional groups or teams at the customer, customer team, and Headquarter level (e.g. Sales Leaders, Consumer Insights, Market Development, Strategy, Brand Teams, etc.).
Designs and develops a customer strategy using shopper insights for occasions, need states and create customer-marketing ideas (e.g., in-store communication, product assortment, merchandising, etc.) that enables Dean Food's to address shoppers' true feelings while shopping and, thereby, increase their likelihood to purchase Dean brands or increase the number of products that they buy driving Category Growth.

Job Requirements
BA required, MBA preferred
7-10 years sales analysis/category management experience
CPG experience (preferably dairy or other grocery)
Strong presentation, platform and communication skills
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
An understanding of fact-based solution selling and category management best practices.
Demonstrated analytical acumen, particularly with shipment, IRI or Nielsen scanner, household panel, space management, Spectra and primary consumer data.
Adept in syndicated data retrieval and database manipulation and organization
Ability to work collaboratively with Marketing, CSI, National Accounts, Field Sales and Finance
Strategic thinker with a bias toward action
Excellent organizational and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to create structure and process where it currently does not exist
Able to operate effectively in a lean organization with limited resources
Sets an example of personal integrity, trust, dignity, respect, and diversity of thought
Up to 10% travel

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
