Data Warehouse Architect

Analyze, design develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for commercial or end user applications. Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will specify, design and implement major changes to existing software architecture. Create new architecture for a moderate size product or a portion of a major product. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to ensure consistency, testability and portability across products in general.
Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.

/Job Summary/
Oracle is looking for an experienced Data Warehouse Architect to join the Oracle Utilities Analytics (OUA) global product development team. The Data Warehouse Architect should be very familiar with Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, modern transactional system architecture and associated technologies. The candidate should possess both technical and customer-facing skills that will allow them to be a "trusted advisor" both internally and externally. He/she should be able to facilitate relationships with senior personnel, as well as easily interact and give guidance to software developers, IT pros, and system architects. The ideal candidate will also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges in an enterprise environment.
The Data Warehouse Architect will work closely with product development and product management teams from all UGBU product lines to ensure that the analytical needs of the individual applications are fully considered and properly designed into the OUA product. The Data Warehouse Architect will be working with a team of developers through the full development life cycle to design, develop and test new product and customer feature enhancements as the Oracle OUA product transitions to support cloud-based implementations.The successful candidate will be a self motivator, who is good at visualizing big picture solutions that satisfy market needs, be very meticulous in their work and have excellent written and verbal communication skills allowing them to succeed in a global team environment.

/Primary Responsibilities/
Work with Product Managers as well as consulting and customer technical team to research/gather/analyze business requirements and competitive offerings
Lead global development teams through the full development lifecycle and ensure the OUA product meets the market/customer s expectations
Design and develop data warehouse architecture, data modeling/conversion solutions, and ETL mapping solutions within structured data warehouse environments
Define best practices for data loading and extraction and ensure architectural alignment of the designs and development
Develop reporting applications and data warehouse consistency
Develop market-leading utility Business Intelligence dashboards
Develop product-based performance and scalability options to meet customer enterprise requirements
Write technical design documents, supervise full product design and implement consistent development processes throughout the implementation lifecycle
Facilitate and participate in design/code/test walkthroughs/reviews with Product Development and Quality Assurance teams
Establish quality processes to deliver a stable and reliable solution
Provide technical leadership in resolving internal or external customer issues
Write product release notes, feature/function documents, white papers, and other documents in support of sales and marketing.
Provide guidance on structure and content of product documentation, and review for quality
Provide assistance to sales (gathering feedback from the field, helping prepare standard sales tools, helping respond to RFP's and involvement in sales demonstrations)
/ // Preferred Skills and Experience /
Prefer a BS degree with at least ten years of experience designing and/or developing Business Intelligence / Data Warehousing solutions
Highly technical and analytical, possessing significant experience in software development and/or IT implementation/consulting experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of Data Warehousing / Data Mining standards and best practices
Demonstrated knowledge of Business Intelligence and Analytics concepts
Demonstrated knowledge of relational database design and dimensional modeling
Knowledge of modern Web Services standards
Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through various stages of the development life cycle
Experience with PL/SQL and Oracle Databases as well as ETL processes
Ability to write and optimize complex SQL queries, procedures and functions
Some experience with and knowledge of the J2EE architecture.
Some experience with and knowledge of Oracle Spatial, Map Viewer, Golden Gate, Data Integrator & OBIEE/OBIA
Some experience with and knowledge of web-based application designs
Some experience with and knowledge of optimizing database performance and capacity utilization to provide high availability and redundancy
Strong IT skills and a programming aptitude
Experience in the utility and/or telecom industries is a plus
Experience with cloud-based data warehouse solutions is a plus
Quick learner, self starter and self motivator
Ability to present confidently in front of a group (internal or customer)
Proficient at use of Microsoft Office products including Word and PowerPoint
Team player, with strong emphasis on knowledge sharing (heart of a teacher)
Strong verbal and written communications skills are preferred, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations and virtual/global teams

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
