Informix DBA

Position Description
Coordinates system changes with Customers and other system areas.
Coordinates system support and performance.
Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in IT infrastructure and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans.
Ensures technology roadmaps are incorporated into data and database designs.
Leads team tasks.
Development of database solutions in an agile environment, that have high availability and scalability consistent with Customer needs.
Mentors and develops associates.
Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
Provides operational support for business solutions.
Strong written communication and presentation skills.
Support the team pager rotation in accordance with their current level of experience
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 3 years experience in information technology or related field within the last 7 years OR 5 years experience in information technology or related field within the last 7 years.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
2+ year application tuning experience.
3+ years experience handling advanced database installations and troubleshooting.
5+ years experience supporting two or more database management systems.
5-7 years experience in design, implementation, and support of solutions in Informix Relational platform.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
